Nordictrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill – A Good Buy For You?
The Nordictrack Commercial 1750 treadmill is one of the best-selling Nordictrack treadmills of all time and it’s not hard to see why.
It’s the most affordable treadmill of Nordictrack’s Commercial-grade treadmills. These are treadmills that are built with stronger decks, higher-end parts and more luxury extras.
The 1750 carries some features you don’t usually find in models at this price point like the full-color console with touch-screen web browser, adjustable cushioning and decline (as well as incline).
Plus, for 2017, Nordictrack has upgraded to a sleeker, easier-to-use console.
So is it a good value for you?

Nordictrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill Review – The Pros:
Surf the Net As You Walk
The Commercial 1750 treadmill comes with something you don’t usually find on other brands – a full color web browser built right into the console.
You can go online and read the latest news, watch Youtube videos or catch up with your Facebook friends. You can also use it to connect to iFit and watch iFit scenes as you run (see below).
It’s touch screen and simple to connect to the Wifi in your home. This alone can make workouts a lot more fun and entertaining.
Travel the World With iFit LIVE
iFit LIVE connects your treadmill to the Internet. From there you can do all sorts of wonderful things.
You can download new workouts from Jillian Michaels where she coaches you through your workout. You can also track and plot your workouts over time to see how far you’ve come.
One of the coolest things to do is to map out new trails to run all over the world. You can also choose from pre-mapped famous trails like Paris or Hawaii. iFit works with Googlemaps so that you see the actual terrain pass you by in the console screen – very cool.
There’s also iFit coach with the new 2017 model. This is an iFit program you automatically get that can send you custom meal plans and new daily workouts to help you reach your fitness goals.
You’ll receive personalized workouts, individualized calorie targets, and daily activity and sleep tips. And it constantly evolves with you, helping you to reach new fitness goals.
Get Extra Crosstrining with Incline AND Decline
You get both 15% incline and a 3% decline for a better crosstraining workout on the 1750 treadmill. This also works with the iFit LIVE and Googlemaps. So it inclines and declines to match the actual trail you’re running for a more virtual reality-type experience.
Built-In Tablet Holder
There’s a sturdy bracket above the console you can use to hold your tablet. Nordictrack has also made it adjustable – so you can adjust the angle to suit your height. So you can surf the net or watch your favorite shows on your tablet – without straining your neck.
Also, because it doesn’t cover the console web browser, you can still always see your workout stats.
More Room To Move
At 22 x 60 inches, this is one of the largest (and widest) belts on the market at this price point. This gives you extra room to stretch out and run. It’s also ideal for taller users.
This year’s Commercial 1750 treadmill model upgrades to RunnersFlex Adjustable Cushioning. This means that you can adjust the deck to suit you.
Turn it up for more cushioning protection on your knees, hips and back. Or for more of a “road-like” feel, you can turn it off which locks out cushioning dampeners for a firmer surface feel.
Extra Accessories Tray Below the Console
Stash your water bottle, keys or remote control on the accessories tray between the deck posts.
The extra tray also carries a second fan (along with the one on the main console) to give you double cooling power. So it’s easy to stay cool and comfortable as you workout.
Free Wireless Heart Rate Monitor
A lot of people prefer the wireless heart rate monitor because it’s more accurate (and easier to use since you don’t have to keep grasping the hand sensors).
You can get a free wireless heart rate monitor included when you buy it from the Manufacturer here.
Nordictrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill Review – the Cons:
iFit LIVE Subscription
While you don’t need iFit to use this treadmill, if you want to try iFit LIVE, you’ll need an online subscription (about $144 a year).
However again, you don’t need iFit to use the treadmill. There are also 38 built-in workouts you get (for free) anyway with this treadmill. So you can always wait and try iFit when you’re ready.
While this is just a small thing, the console web browser is not as large as on the other Commercial models like the Nordictrack 2450 or the 2950. These treadmills have larger console windows at 10 inches (vs 7 inches on the 1750).
The Nordictrack Commercial 1750 treadmill gives you a lot for under $1500. The stronger motor, 2.5 inch rollers and thicker, 2-ply belt give you that extra level of construction you need if you’ll be running.
The web browser, iPod dock, tablet holder and iFit LIVE adds loads of entertainment options to your workouts. They’ll make your workouts a lot more enjoyable. And the adjustable cushioning and extra cooling fans help to tailor the workout to your preferences.
Plus it’s covered by one of the longest warranties in the business, which gives you an idea of the construction on this unit.
Where to Buy and Save
You can get the new 2017 model right now direct from the Manufacturer. You can also get Free Shipping to your home which can save you about $150.
