Looking for Nordictrack 2450 treadmill alternatives?

While the Nordictrack Commercial 2450 is a popular, runner-friendly treadmill, some people are looking for an alternative.

Perhaps they want something a bit more economical.

Or maybe they don’t want to have to get iFit (which is now sold with the 2450 treadmill).

The great news is that you have some fantastic alternatives to the Nordictrack 2450 treadmill!

I’ve listed below what I think are 3 of your best options, with short reviews of each.

I’ve also included links to where you can read more about them.

Nordictrack 2450 Alternatives:

#1 Nordictrack C1650

This isn’t as hard core as the Nordictrack 2450. It doesn’t have the extra high 15% incline or 3% decline – it only has 12% incline.

But the motor is quite respectable and it’s on the heavier side so it can stand up to much more of a beating than Nordictracks starter models.

It’s also much more economical, coming in around $1299 with Free Shipping here. While iFit is an option with this treadmill it is not required.

You also get the extra long 60 inch belt which gives you more room to really stretch out and run. And you also get the full-color touch-screen web browser in the console.

And it’s on the larger side too – a full 10 inches across which is the same size as the one on the Nordictrack 2450.

A lot of people really like the 1650 treadmill but it doesn’t get the same kind of attention as as some of Nordictrack’s other treadmills. It’s pretty much a hidden gem at this point. You can read the full review here.

#2 Proform Pro 9000

If you’re looking for a runner-friendly treadmill that gives you something similar in terms of the construction quality you get on the Nordictrack 2450, you may want to check out the Proform Pro 9000.

Proform Pro 9000 Treadmill

It’s one of the toughest runner-friendly treadmills that Proform makes giving you a 4.0 HP dynamically spin-balanced motor and large 2.5 inch rollers (these help to reduce static and prolong the life of your treadmill).

Proform 9000 Console

The Proform Pro 9000 comes in around the same price as the Nordictrack 2450 – around $1799 with Free Shipping here. It also gives you the large, HD full-color 10 inch web browser in the console and the tablet holder above the console.

So you still get similar entertainment options. But unlike the Nordictrack 2450 treadmill where an iFit Coach Plus subscription is required, iFit is not required with the Proform Pro 9000. It’s just an option if you want it (for now anyways).

Another plus is that you still get the high 15% incline and 3% decline so you can add more crosstraining to your workout. Overall, this is probably the treadmill in this list that is MOST similar to the Nordictrack 2450

#3 Sole F85

This is a classic that has been around for years now and was recently updated with a new console. The Sole F85 is pretty much in direct competition with the Nordictrack 2450 and both models are constantly vying for top spot in the mid-range market.

The Sole F85 doesn’t give you some of the goodies of the Nordictrack 2450: The console is only dual color and there is no web browser or tablet holder. And there is no decline or adjustable cushioning option either.

Where the Sole F85 does knock it out of the park however is in the area of construction. It’s solid as a rock and is one of the most stable mid-priced units on the market. Plus the cushioning is also excellent on this model.

The cushioning was actually shown in a university study to reduce impact by up to 40% as compared to road running. So it’s an ideal choice for runners or joggers who need that extra joint protection.

The Sole F85 naturally does not have iFit – but it does have a Bluetooth tracking option. You can use the Sole App to track your workouts over time. And the best part? The Sole App is free (for now).

If you want something that is very similar construction wise to the Nordictrack 2450 – but a little lacking in some of the fancier features, you may want to consider the Sole F85.
