nordictrack exp10i reviewThe Nordictrack EXP 10i treadmill is one of Nordictrack’s newest mid-range models this year.

It gives you a larger HD touch screen than the EXP 7i model – a full 10-inches across.

This makes the iFit world trails and studio fitness classes much more fun to watch.

For added challenge you also get both incline and decline with this model.

Another benefit is that you get adjustable cushioning. Turn it down for a more road-running type of feel – or turn it up for more cushioning protection.

So is the Nordictrack EXP 10i treadmill a good choice for you? How does it stack up to similar Nordictrack models?

Here’s a review of what you need to know:

Nordictrack EXP 10i Review – Key Benefits:

10-Inch, Full-Color Console

The Nordictrack EXP10i  treadmill comes with a 10-inch full-color, HD, touch-screen console. So you can see your workout stats in full color with a swipe of your finger.

The screen is larger than the EXP7i model. The larger screen makes it easier to see your workout stats or watch the iFit world trails (more on iFit below).

The console also comes with 2 digitally amplified speakers and Bluetooth audio capabilities. So you can sync your favorite wireless headphones to your treadmill and listen to your iFit trainer or workout music, completely undistracted.

And to stay cool as you walk or run, there’s also a dual-speed workout fan.

Strong 3.5 HP Motor

The EXP10i treadmill also increases the motor power over the EXP7i model with a stronger 3.5 HP motor. This gives you extra power to get through those longer or more intense workouts.

The motor is also self-cooling and reduced vibration for a longer lasting unit.

Explore the World with iFit

The Nordictrack EXP 10i comes iFit compatible.  With iFit you can connect your treadmill online using the Wifi in your home.

From there you can run trails all over the world – from the shores of Hawaii to the streets of Paris.

iFit Workout

Take a walking tour through Florence or explore the pyramids in Egypt. There are guided tours and workouts as well as series (so you can return to the places that you love).

Don’t want to take a guided workout? No problem.

Use the Googlemaps feature to map out a trail of your own and hit go! You’ll watch the scenery pass you by in the console window as you walk!

iFit LIVE and Streaming Workouts

Take a new workout from the comfort of your living room every day with the iFit studio workouts.

Take a high-energy studio fitness class from your treadmill console. These workouts also include yoga, boot camps, HIIT training, strength training and more.

There are over 16,000 pre-recorded workouts in the iFit library – so you’ll never run out of new things to do!

You can also try the new LIVE streaming class option to follow your favorite trainer in real time.

Or take the class at the same time as your friends and track your stats in real time.

Another benefit with an iFit membership is that you can have up to 4 family members using it. So the whole family can find something they like to do on this treadmill.

The best part?

If you get the Nordictrack 10i EXP  treadmill through the link below, you can get a Full iFit Membership included with your treadmill for a short time.

So you can try it out to see if you like it (Note you don’t need iFit to use this treadmill – it’s more like an add-on service if you want it).

More Immersive Training with Incline and Decline

The EXP10i treadmill also comes with another benefit over the EXP7i treadmill – decline.

You get up to 12% incline and even up to 3% decline. This adds more crosstraining options to your treadmill.

Plus, the treadmill incline and decline also integrates with iFit – so it matches the terrain of the trail you’re running for a more immersive training experience. Very cool.

Lots of Room To Move

You also get a generous 60-inch belt with this treadmill. So you can pick up your pace and stretch out with this treadmill – a feature that runners and taller users will love.

Adjustable Cushioning

While Nordictrack is not putting this feature on all of their treadmills anymore, they have included it on the EXP10i model. Basically you can choose the type of surface you want to run on.

Turn the cushioning down for a more road like feel. Or for a softer feel with more joint protection, turn the cushioning up.

Integrated Tray for Added Storage

There’s also a tray added to the stability bar underneath the treadmill. This may seem like a small thing – but it’s a really handy place to store your keys, extra phone, tv remote etc.

Folding To Save Space

The treadmill folds up easily and locks into place to save you space. It’s also a shock-assisted lift to save the strain on your back.

Incline

While you do get incline on this treadmill – it goes up to a top limit of 12%. This should be fine for most people.

However if you think you’re going to need more of a challenge, you may want to consider the Nordictrack Commercial models with up to 15% or the Incline Trainers with up to 40% incline.

iFit Membership

iFit is a subscription service and there’s some confusion over this. Does the treadmill work without iFit? Yes.

You don’t need to have an iFit subscription to use this treadmill – it works fine without it. (You can also just use the Free iFit app version, which includes a few built-in workouts if you want some extra challenge).

iFit Series Workout
Bottom Line?

If you’re looking for an affordable mid-range treadmill that gives you a lot of value – without breaking the bank – the new Nordictrack EXP10i is worth checking out.

It gives you the larger screen size than the EXP7i model as well as a stronger motor, adjustable cushioning and even decline for better crosstraining.

Plus with the iFit membership, you can open up an entirely new world of training. Take live streaming classes, race against your friends, travel all over the world and explore – or just get customized workouts sent to your treadmill every day. You’ll never run out of new things to try on this treadmill.
