Trying to compare the Nordictrack EXP 10i vs Proform Pro 2000 treadmill?  Wondering which gives you the best value?

These are both mid-range treadmills made by basically the same company (ICON Health and Fitness owns both Nordictrack and Proform).

So it’s not surprising that they look so similar to each other.

The Proform Pro 2000 has been one of Proform’s best-selling treadmills for over 5 years now. However, Proform does tend to updated it every year with the latest treadmill technology and features.

So it’s changed quite a bit over the years from past models. It’ also had a lot of time to build up a good reputation and earn several “Best Buy” awards.

The Nordictrack EXP 10i treadmill, on the other hand, is a fairly new treadmill to the Nordictrack lineup replacing the past T-series models like the T8.5 treadmill.

Both treadmills give you a more immersive training experience – with iFit streaming workouts delivered through a large, HD, full-color touch-screen console. You can also run trails all over the world – from the pyramids of Egypt to the streets of Paris – and enjoy the scenery passing you in the console screen as you run.

Both treadmills give you incline and decline for added crosstraining, as well as a similar belt size and folding option.

So what’s the difference between them?

This post will help you compare the differences between the Nordictrack EXP 10i vs Proform Pro 2000 treamill to help you decide on the best option for you:

Nordictrack EXP 10i vs 1750 – Price

The Nordictrack EXP10i treadmill, as of this writing, comes in around $1599 with iFit included here.

This is slightly higher than the Proform Pro 2000 treadmill which comes in around $1499 with Free Shipping here.

However note that prices tend to jump around for both treadmills. So it’s worth checking the links above at the time you’re reading this, just to see if prices have changed.

However, as of right now, the Proform Pro 2000 takes points for being the more affordable of the two treadmills.

Nordictrack EXP 10i vs Proform 2000 – Console

Both treadmills give you a large 10-inch, HD, full-color, touch screen console. You can use this to connect with iFit and run trails all over the world or take a LIVE studio fitness class from the comfort of your own home.

They look very similar – but there are a few minor differences that you may want to know.

Here is a pic of the Nordictrack EXP 10i console:

And here’s the Proform Pro 2000 Treadmill console:

The Nordictrack console has the one-touch speed and incline buttons running up the sides whereas the Proform has them on the bottom of the console.

The start/stop and incline or speed increase/decrease buttons are a bit bigger and easier to see on the Nordictrack console.

But that’s about it. Other than that, these consoles are pretty identical. So there isn’t really a clear winner here.

Nordictrack EXP10i or Proform 2000: Cushioning

The Proform 2000 treadmill comes with something called Rebound Pro cushioning which gives you uniform cushioning throughout the deck area. It’s fairly standard with all of Proform’s Pro treadmill models.

The Nordictrack EXP 10i treadmill goes one slightly better with FlexSelect Cushioning. This basically lets you adjust your cushioning protection to suit your taste.

Turn the cushioning up for more protection for your knees, hips and back.

Or turn the cushioning down for a more road-running type of experience. So you have a few more options with the Nordictrack.

Nordictrack EXP 10i vs Proform 2000 – Stability Bar

You may have also noticed that there is a stability bar/storage shelf under the Nordictrack EXP10i console that you don’t get with the Proform Pro 2000.

This gives you another area to store your keys, phone, remote control etc. So it’s a handy option that you don’t find on the Proform 2000 treadmill.

Again, not a deal breaker – but good to know.

Nordictrack EXP 10i or Proform Pro 2000: Motor

There’s also a slight motor power difference between these two treadmills. The Proform Pro comes with a 3.25 CHP motor – which is excellent.

However, the Nordictrack EXP 10i treadmill goes one slightly better with a stronger 3.5 CHP motor.

Again, the difference is not huge. But if you’re looking for the strongest motor here to get you through extra-long, intense workouts, the Nordictrack wins in this category.

Bottom Line?

So which machine is better for you – the Nordictrack EXP 10i vs Proform Pro 2000?

Frankly, I expected there to be more of a difference.

They look extremely similar and have a lot of the same great features like the large, HD, touch-screens and the added crosstraining with incline and decline.

There are a few minor differences between them:

The Proform 2000 Pro treadmill is slightly more affordable, making it better if you’re on a budget.

But the Nordictrack EXP 10i treadmill gives you adjustable cushioning, an added stability bar for extra storage and a slightly higher power motor.

Some might say the console is also a little sleeker as well on the Nordictrack model.

So it really comes down to what you’re looking for at the end of the day.

Either way, if you use the links below, you’ll get a 1-year FULL iFit membership included with either treadmill (good for up to 4 different family members).
