This post will be a sort of “Easy Buying Guide” to help you do that. Here’s a simple breakdown of the 4 different styles of Nordictrack treadmills – with links to Best buys in each category.
#1 Nordictrack Treadmills – Incline Trainers
Nordictrack incline trainer treadmills are unique in that they work like a standard treadmill – but they also give you something completely new – up to 40% incline!
While a regular treadmill will give you up to 10 or even 15% incline, the Nordictrack incline trainer treadmills give you from 0 up to 40% inclines.

What’s the benefit of higher inclines?
Mega-fast calorie burning!
According to Nordictrack studies, you can burn up to 5 times MORE calories walking on a 40% incline than on a flat incline.

Even if you don’t want to walk on a constant incline, these treadmills are great for building in high intensity intervals to your workout.
HIIT workouts are all the rage these days as people find they help to burn more calories both during and even up to 48 hours AFTER your workout.
Who Are These Treadmills For?
The incline trainer treadmills are ideal for someone looking for something beyond a traditional treadmill – something that can help them burn calories and see results VERY fast.
These trainers are also great if you’re looking for more crosstraining options as they come with higher inclines and even deeper declines (up to 6%) than Nordictrack’s other treadmills.
Who Are These Treadmills NOT For?
These treadmills are not ideal if you’re looking for a folding treadmill – as they do not fold up.
Best Nordictrack Treadmill Incline Trainers:
Nordictrack makes 3 different incline trainer treadmill models – the X11i, X22i and the new X32i. However the two most popular models are the X11i and the X22i trainers.
The Nordictrack X11i is the most affordable incline trainer in the lineup and it gives you up to 40% inclines and even 6% decline.
It comes with a medium-sized, full-color console and a tablet holder. It also comes iFit Coach compatible – so you can run trails all over the world and see real scenery in the console window.

#2 Nordictrack T-Series Treadmills
The Nordictrack T-Series of treadmills are really what you would think of as a “standard home treadmill”.
There are currently 4 models starting from around $800 ranging up to $1800 – so you have a wide range of options, depending on your budget. These treadmills would be great for walkers or the occasional jogger.

But just because they are standard home treadmills doesn’t mean they’re boring.
They all come iFit Coach compatible. So you can go online, connect with iFit and run trails all over the world – from Paris to Hawaii – to add a bit of virtual reality fun.
They also fold up for easy storage with wheels on the bottom so you can move them around.
Who Are These Treadmills For?
These treadmills are great if you’re on a budget as they tend to range from around $800 up to $1800.
They are also great if you’re only planning on occasional use of your treadmill and don’t care about all the extra bells and whistles of fancy cushioning or high-end motor powers (after all – why pay for something you won’t use?)
Who Are These Treadmills NOT For?
These treadmills would not be ideal if you’re planning on longer or frequent running workouts – or if you have multiple users in your home.
If you tend to want faster calorie-burning results you may also want to look at something else like the incline trainer.

Best Nordictrack Treadmill – T-Series Model
The Nordictrack T7.5 offers a great blend of affordability with upgraded features. It has a super-tough 3.0 HP motor to get you through longer workouts.
Plus it has a 7-inch, full-color, HD, touch-screen console. So you can view your workout stats or run iFit world trails in living color.

#3 Nordictrack Treadmills – The Commercial Series
Nordictrack Commercial Treadmills are the ultra-premium models – with superior construction and lots of entertainment bells and whistles.
They are made with tougher decks, stronger motors and larger rollers than Nordictrack’s T-Series treadmills (larger rollers help reduce static on the belt and help prolong the life of your treadmill).

They also tend to carry longer warranties, adjustable cushioning and more built-in workouts.
Like most Nordictrack treadmills, they come iFit compatible. So you can run trails all over the world and watch the scenery pass you by in your full-color console screen.

This is great if you want to reach new heights and explore different walking or running trails all over the world.
One of the main differences is that (as of this writing at least), if you get any of the Nordictrack Commercial treadmill direct from the Manufacturer here, you can currently get a 1-year membership to iFit Coach included with your treadmill.
So you can try iFit out for a full year (along with over 12,000 video workouts) to see if you like it.
Another plus to these treadmills is that some of the higher end models also carry larger console screens than some T-series treadmills. So watching the iFit workouts are a lot more fun.
Who Are These Treadmills For?
Nordictrack Commercial treadmills are ideal for runners and walkers alike. They give the kind of extra cushioning protection, motor power and deck strength that runners or frequent exercisers need.
They are also great for multiple-user families or for people who want to have larger consoles to watch the iFit world scenery as they run.

Who Are These Treadmills NOT For?
Because they start around $1499 and up, these treadmills are not the best option if you’re on a strict budget. They’re also not really the best option if you’re only planning on occasional gentle walking on your treadmill (since you really won’t need that extra-tough construction).
Best Nordictrack Treadmill Commercial Models
The Nordictrack Commercial 1750 treadmill is the most affordable treadmill in the series and it’s been a best-seller for years. It’s also brought home more “Best Buy” awards over the years than any other Nordictrack model.
If you’re looking for a perfect mix of high-end features and strong construction at a price that won’t break the bank, it’s a great choice.

#4 Nordic track Treadmill Desks
Nordictrack also makes a series of desk treadmills. These treadmills can function as walking workstations and are perfect for the home office.
We’re becoming all too aware of the dangers of sitting for long periods of time and the desk treadmill can be a great solution to this problem.

These treadmills come with a large, flat desktop surface measuring around 18 x 40 inches. They do have a small console feedback window to your right of the desktop surface where you can control your speed, see your stats etc.
The desktop can easily hold a laptop and a phone, some papers or files and more.
The desktop is also adjustable up and down. So you can find the proper desk height for you and make sure you’re not straining your neck or back as you walk.
Nordictrack treadmill desks are built as walking workstations – which are really meant for slow walking as you work (meaning you’re ambling at a leisurely pace of 0.5 to 1.5 MPH). Therefore they naturally are built with lower speed limits than Nordictrack’s other treadmills.
They also have either no incline or a very low incline unlike a standard treadmill since, once again, you’re really only supposed to be walking slowly on these desks as you work.
Who Are These Treadmills For?
These treadmills are great for people who want a walking workstation (that can still double as a treadmill if they need a quick workout).
These would be great options if you work from home or sit at a desk for long periods of time and you don’t want the expanding waistline or health repercussions that come with long-time-desk-sitting.

Who Are These Treadmills NOT For?
These are not great options if you want a treadmill strictly for working out. You don’t get as much in terms of incline or console options.
Plus, while they will work with iFit Coach, it’s an added cost. And you’ll need to watch iFit through your laptop screen since it won’t broadcast through the console.

Best Nordictrack Treadmill Desk?
While there are 2 models – the Nordictrack Desk treadmill and the Desk Treadmill Platinum, the Platinum model has a few more benefits over the standard desk treadmill.
For example it gives you up to 10% incline (there is no incline on the standard Nordictrack desk treadmill).
You also get higher speed limits and a stronger motor. So you can do a bit more with this treadmill than with a standard desk treadmill model.
