Freemotion T22.9 Reflex Treadmill – Key Benefits:

Built for VIP Health Clubs

If you’ve ever wanted a true gym-quality treadmill, this is one to consider. The Freemotion T22.9 treadmill was built especially for commercial gyms and premier health clubs.

You’ll notice the higher-end construction in everything – from the massive 5.0 CHP motor to the high definition display to the 2-sided Reflex deck with durable bumper cushioning (more on this below).

According to the manufacturer, this treadmill was built to stand up to 24-7 health club use.

Immersive Workout With High-Definition Display

This treadmill – like all Nordictrack and ICON treadmills – is compatible with iFit. And it carries a large 22-inch, vertical, HD display screen.

Lose yourself in the scenery while running a famous world trail. Or challenge yourself in real time with a live fitness class from your screen.

The console is Bluetooth compatible. So you can listen to your workouts via your Bluetooth headphones, through the console speakers – or via the headphone port.

And to stay cool, there’s also a 3-speed console fan.

Specialized Reflex Cushioning

Have you ever run on a gym treadmill –  then a home treadmill – and felt there was just something different? It was probably due to the cushioning.

Commercial treadmills – because they have to stand up to multiple users of various sizes and intensities – have superior decks and cushioning systems.

The Freemotion T22.9 has ICON’s Reflex Proprietary Cushioning. This was shown in a study to reduce impact by 29% compared to the competition.

It can help absorb shock more efficiently than a home treadmill or running outside – and reduce impact on your knees, hips, back and ankles.

Go Further with iFit Workouts

With iFit you can run famous trails all over the world – from the shores of Hawaii to the temples of Thailand. There are even walking or running series designed to help you train for different challenges.

And the incline will integrate with the trail. So that when you’re walking uphill for example, the treadmill will automatically incline to match the terrain – very cool.

Don’t want to run a world trail?

You can also take a new workout from the comfort of your living room every day with the iFit studio workouts.

Try a high-energy studio fitness class from your treadmill console. These workouts also include yoga, boot camps, HIIT training, strength training and more.

There are over 16,000 pre-recorded workouts in the iFit library – so you’ll never run out of new things to do!

You can also try the new LIVE streaming class option to follow your favorite trainer in real time.

Or take the class at the same time as your friends and track your stats in real time.

Another cool thing about iFit is that it tracks your workouts and, using SmartAdjust with machine learning technology, it can automatically adapt every workout to fit you.

Stay in Your Target Zone with ActivePulse

The Freemotion T22.9 Reflex Treadmill comes with Active Pulse technology. This is an option you can use that automatically controls the treadmill speed or incline to maintain your optimal heart-rate zone.

You don’t need to monitor anything or change your speed or incline. The treadmill controls the workout for you with both the speed and incline in order to keep you in your target heart rate zone.

Don’t want to use ActivePulse? No problem – you can grasp the EKG hand grips to get a quick heart rate reading at any time.

Lots of Room To Move

You get a long 60-inch with extra-wide 21.5 inch belt. So you can pick up your pace and stretch out with this treadmill – a feature that runners and taller users will love.

Freemotion T22.9 Treadmill Review – Any Drawbacks?
Extremely Heavy

As you’d expect with a commercial treadmill, this unit is extremely heavy. It comes in at a massive 649 pounds. And it doesn’t fold up.

So you might want to plan out where you’ll be placing it before the delivery person arrives.

The heavier weight does help to make it rock-solid stable. But again, if you need a folding treadmill that you can move around on a regular basis – this is not the treadmill for you.

Cost-Prohibitive

While you can order this treadmill for your home – it does come at a commercial health club price. And for many people it’s probably more than they need.

If you’re just an occasional runner and you don’t care about having a health club treadmill, you’ll probably be very happy with a strong, runner-friendly treadmill like the Nordictrack 1750 treadmill.

Bottom Line?

If you’re looking for a true health-club treadmill, built to give you a gym-quality feel and experience, you’ll probably love the Freemotion T22.9 Reflex Treadmill.

This commercial treadmill is built to last you for years – and give you the most immersive, enjoyable workout experience you can find in a gym.

Is it for everyone? No.

Most people will be fine with a high-end Nordictrack like the Commercial 1750 or 2450.

But if you really want a commercial health club treadmill with all the bells and whistles, this is one to consider.
