This can be a challenge.

They’re both in Nordictrack’s “Commercial” series of treadmills. These treadmills are built tougher than the entry-level models.

And they look very much alike, both with iFit technology, sleek designs, incline and decline.

The Nordictrack Commercial 1250 is a brand new model introduced this year. It’s the most affordable of all of the Commercial treadmills as of this writing.

Nordictrack 1750 Treadmill

The Nordictrack Commercial 1750 is by far Nordictrack’s most popular treadmill of all time. It has a long history (with updates every year) and was even called “The Best Overall Treadmill” by Runner’s World.

So it’s a tough act to follow.

Which treadmill is right for you?

In this post, we’ll cover the main differences between the Nordictrack 1250 vs 1750 treadmills. So you can choose the best fit for you:

Nordictrack 1250 vs 1750 Treadmill –  Price

The Nordictrack 1250 treadmill has the edge here. It’s the more affordable of the treadmills – coming in around $1999 with Free Shipping and a Free Gift Here.

The Nordictrack 1750 treadmill is the next model up and a few hundred more. You can currently get it for around $2299 with Free Shipping here.

So is the extra money worth it on the 1750 treadmill? Here are some of the differences between the two treadmills to help you decide:

Nordictrack 1250 vs 1750 Console

The console is really where you see a large difference between these two treadmills.

While they both come with full-color, HD touch-screen consoles, the Nordictrack 1250 screen is 10-inches across:

The Nordictrack 1750 treadmill screen is larger at 14-inches across:

So you can see that the 1750 screen is easier to read. It’s also more enjoyable to use – especially with the iFit scenery and HD workout videos.

It’s kind of like having a bigger phone or computer screen – for many people bigger is better.

Note that both consoles swivel and tilt. So you can find the best viewing angle for you.

And you can swivel either console – for example, if you want to get off the treadmill and continue your workout on the floor.

Here’s another view of the Nordictrack 1250 screen:

And here’s the Nordictrack 1750 screen:

Nordictrack 1250 vs 1750 – Motor Power

treadmill motorThe Nordictrack 1750 treadmill has a slightly more powerful motor than the 1250 treadmill – 3.5 CHP vs 3.0 CHP.

What does this mean for you?

Basically it means that the 1750 can take a bit more use and abuse. If you plan on longer workouts or running frequently, the stronger motor is better and will last longer.

However for moderate use, the 3.0 CHP motor should be fine. It’s still more than adequate.

Nordictrack 1750 vs 1250 Treadmill: Incline

This is interesting and I’m not sure how long this difference will last.

Both treadmills give you up to 3% decline.

However the Nordictrack 1750 treadmill gives you more incline – 15% (vs 12% on the Nordictrack 1250 treadmill).

As of this writing though, Nordictrack is moving to close out this particular 1750 treadmill model and will most likely be replacing it with a new model.

Since they’ve reduced the incline on the higher-end Nordictrack 2450 treadmill, it’s safe to assume that the new Nordictrack 1750 will come with the same 12% incline that you find on the Nordictrack 1250.

However for now, you do still get a higher incline on the Nordictrack 1750 treadmill.

Nordictrack Commercial 1250 or 1750: Cup Holders

Again, this will probably change with any new 1750 treadmill models that Nordictrack introduces this year.

However, the current Nordictrack 1750 does not have cup holders on the console. A lot of people don’t like this – which is probably why Nordictrack added cupholders on the new 1250 model.

So if you want the extra space for your water bottle or TV remote, then the 1250 treadmill is the better option here.

Nordictrack 1750 vs 1250: Belt Width

Both treadmills give you the extra-long 60-inch belt that’s great for stretching out and running.

However, the 1750 treadmill gives you a wider belt – 22 inches (vs 20 inches on the 1250 treadmill).

It’s not a huge difference, and certaintly not a deal breaker. But if you want a bit of extra room, then the Nordictrack 1750 has the advantage here.

Bottom Line?

So which is better when comparing the Nordictrack 1250 vs 1750 treadmills?

Well, they both give you iFit training, extra-long belts and full-color, HD touch-screens.

The Nordictrack 1250 is the newer model and comes in at a more affordable price. It also has cup holders – which are not on the 1750 model.

However the Nordictrack 1750 has a larger, more enjoyable screen. It also has a stronger motor and wider belt.

Plus it has a higher incline (for now) – which many people will prefer as it gives you more room to grow.

So it really depends on what you’re looking for at the end of the day.
