Wondering which one is right for you?
You’re not alone. These are two of the most affordable commercial-grade treadmills in the Nordictrack lineup, with great benefits like a touch-screen, full-color consoles, iFit Coach workouts, strong motors and extra long running belts.
But they also look very similar – which leaves a lot of people wondering how they compare.
So what are the differences between them and which is best for you?
In this post, we’ll cover the main differences between the Nordictrack 1750 vs 2450 treadmills. So you can choose the best fit for you:
Nordictrack 1750 vs 2450 Treadmill – Price
The Nordictrack 1750 treadmill has the edge here. It’s the more affordable of the treadmills – coming in around $1799 with Free Shipping here.
The Nordictrack 2450 treadmill is the next model up. While prices tend to jump around, you can usually get it for about $2299 with Free Shipping here.
So is the extra money worth it on the 2450 treadmill? Here are some of the differences between the two treadmills to help you decide:
Nordictrack 1750 vs 2450 – Console
The console is really where you see the biggest difference between these two treadmills.
While they both come with full-color, HD touch-screen consoles, the 1750 treadmill console is 10-inches across:
The Nordictrack 2450 treadmill console upgrades to a larger console at 14 inches:
So you can see that the 2450 console is easier to read and probably more enjoyable to use especially with the iFit scenery and HD workout videos. It’s kind of like having a bigger phone or computer screen – for many people bigger is better.
Here’s another angle on the 2450 treadmill:
And the 1750 treadmill;
Nordictrack 1750 vs 2450 – Motor Power
The Nordictrack 2450 treadmill has a slightly more powerful motor than the 1750 treadmill – 4.0 HP vs 3.75 HP.
So it can handle heavier or longer workouts with ease. This makes it great for runners or multiple-user families where you need a bit more power.
Then again, this doesn’t mean the 1750 motor is poor – they’re both excellent motor powers for their respective price points.
Nordictrack 1750 vs 2450 – Workout Programs
You get a few more workout programs with the Nordictrack 2450 treadmill – 40 vs 38 on the Nordictrack 1750. So you have a few more options to challenge yourself.
However if you buy either machine direct from the Manufacturer, you can get a 1 year iFit membership included with your treadmill. And since iFit has over 12,000 (yes that’s 12,000) workout videos to choose from, you may not care about the differences in built-in workouts.
Nordictrack Commercial 1750 vs 2450 – Heart Rate Monitor
The Nordictrack 1750 treadmill comes with the EKG hand grip sensors to monitor your heart rate.
It will also work with a wireless chest strap. However you’ll have to add that in yourself if you want it.
The Nordictrack 2450 treadmill however includes both the hand-grip sensors and a Free wireless chest strap monitor.
Some people really prefer the chest strap monitor as it’s a lot more convenient than continually having to grasp the hand sensors.
Nordictrack 1750 vs 2450 – Footprint/Size
This is a very small difference however it might be worth mentioning if space in your home is an issue. The Nordictrack 1750 has a slightly smaller footprint than the 2450 treadmill measuring 78.8″ L x 39.2″ W. The Nordictrack 2450 treadmill measures 81.2″ L x 39.2″ W.
Again, this really isn’t a huge difference but it might be important if you’re in a condo or apartment.
So which is better when comparing the Nordictrack 1750 vs 2450 treadmill?
Well, they both give you the same level of incline and decline, high speed limits, solid construction and extra long belts.
The real difference that you’ll really notice in the size of the console.
You get a larger screen on the Nordictrack 2450 treadmill. This makes your workout stats easier to read. It also makes the iFit workout videos and scenery a lot more enjoyable.
The 2450 also has a stronger motor and the wireless heart rate monitor that you don’t get on the Nordictrack 1750.
However on the other hand, the 1750 treadmill is more affordable and still gives you all the basics you need for a great workout – plus the included 1 year iFit Coach Membership.
So it really depends on what you’re looking for.
