There are some key differences between them however that you should know.

So how are they different?

So the Proform 2000 takes points here for being more budget friendly.

Nordictrack 1750 vs Proform 2000: Console

Both treadmills have been updated over the years and give you impressive, full-color, HD touch-screen consoles.

The Proform Pro 2000 treadmill gives you a 10-inch screen as you can see below:

The Nordictrack 1750 goes one better with a larger 14-inch screen:

Having the larger screen on the 1750 treadmill pulls you more fully into the iFit workout action. It’s more fun to watch – and it’s easier to read your workout stats.

You’ll also notice a difference in the design of the console. The Proform 2000 screen is built into the console and sits more flat:

Nordictrack redesigned the 1750 treadmill this year and raised the screen – while lowering the console. This is very similar to what you see in health-club treadmill designs.

The higher screen sits more in your eye line with less strain on your neck (since you’re not looking down for your whole workout).

Another benefit to this design is that you can tilt and swivel the console on the Nordictrack 1750 treadmill. This is handy if you want to get off the treadmill and continue your iFit workout on the floor

Nordictrack 1750 vs Proform 2000: Motor

The Nordictrack 1750 comes in with a slightly stronger motor here: 3.5 vs 3.25 CHP found on the Proform 2000. That means it can take a bit more of a beating.

However the difference isn’t huge and both motors should be fine for runners or walkers.

Construction Quality

There are a few slight differences in construction quality (besides the motor power) where the Nordictrack 1750 comes out ahead.

The first is rollers. Larger rollers on a treadmill help to reduce static on the belt and ultimately help prolong the life of your treadmill.

The Proform Pro 2000 comes with 1.9 inch rollers – which is good.

But the Nordictrack 1750 comes with larger 2.5 inch rollers – which is better.

Machine weight is also worth noting here. Other things being equal, a heavier machine should give you a more stable feel. It won’t shake or wobble as much when you pick up your pace.

The Proform 2000 comes in at a respectable 262 pound unit weight.

However the Nordictrack 1750 treadmill comes in a much heavier 340 pound unit weight. So while it might be harder to move around, it should feel more stable and solid overall.

Other Differences Between Treadmills

This is another smaller difference that some people may not catch. When Nordictrack updated the 1750 this year, they upgraded the speakers. You get 3-inch, premium audio speakers.

The Proform 2000 treadmills comes with 2-inch standard speakers. So you’re going to get better sound quality on the Nordictrack.

The Nordictrack 1750 also comes with ActivePulse technology.  This is an option you can use that automatically controls the treadmill speed or incline to maintain your optimal heart-rate zone.

The Proform 2000 doesn’t currently have this option.

Bottom Line?

So what’s the bottom line when comparing the Nordictrack 1750 vs Proform 2000 treadmills?

Both have their benefits.

The Proform Pro 2000 is more affordable. Plus it still gives you everything you need for a great workout including the touch-screen console with iFit programs to run all over the world.

The Nordictrack 1750 gives you a few more perks – like the larger screen that swivels and turns, stronger motor and higher construction quality.

So at the end of the day, it depends on what you’re looking for.
