The Sole F85 was upgraded this year with a similar health-club-style look, and a new touch-screen console.
But even with their similarities, there are key differences between them that you should know.

Nordictrack 2450 vs Sole F85 – Price
The prices on both models can jump around a bit depending on sales and time of year.

So strictly from a budget perspective, the Sole F85 comes out ahead – but not by much.
Sole F85 vs Nordictrack 1750 – Console
Both treadmills have full-color, touch-screen consoles – but with some major differences between them.
Sole updated their console to an Android tablet-style screen this year and it measures 15.6-inches across as seen below:
You can use the screen to view your workout stats during your run. And, according to Sole, the screen also comes equipped with 7 preset apps like Youtube and Netflix.
Plus, you can also pair and mirror your phone or tablet to the screen.
This is great since you can, in theory, watch your favorite shows or Youtube videos as you run. And a lot of users love having this option.
However it’s fair to note that several buyers have complained that they’re having a lot of problems with the screen, online and mirroring features on their treadmill.
Some have complained that the tablet screen works poorly and is hard to use (you can read the latest reviews at the manufacturer here).
This can, unfortunately, be a common problem with newer, upgraded treadmills. The manufacturer hasn’t yet had time to work out the “kinks” in the new model. (Nordictrack also had issues years ago when they first came out with their full-color touch-screen consoles).
Apparently, Sole is working on this and adding new software updates to the screen. Hopefully they can sort it out – but it may take some time.
The Nordictrack 1750 treadmill also comes with a full-color, touch-screen console. However the screen is just slightly smaller than the Sole F85 at 14-inches across:
Both screens are larger than you find on other home treadmills and they’re sizeable enough to really pull you into the action on screen.
The 1750 screen come iFit-compatible (iFit is Nordicrack’s online streaming service). You can connect through this console directly to iFit – and run famous world trails or even take LIVE fitness classes from the comfort of your own home.
So while you can’t mirror your phone to the screen like with the Sole F85, with iFit you can take fitness classes, run world trails, track your results, and even plot out new trails to run using Googlemaps.
Plus, because Nordictrack has been using this kind of console screen in their treadmills for years now, you don’t have the issues with the screens that Sole may be currently experiencing.
Another difference?
The screen on the Nordictrack 1750 treadmill is separated from the console base. Because of this design, it also tilts and swivels. (The Sole F85 console does not swivel or turn).
So you can find the best viewing angle for you – or just turn the screen if you want to continue your workout off the treadmill.
Nordictrack 1750 or Sole F85 – Motor
The Nordictrack 1750 treadmill comes with a 3.5 CHP motor – which is excellent.
However the Sole F85 treadmill goes one better with a stronger 4.0 HP motor.
Both motor powers are impressive – and would be fine for walkers and runners alike. However, the Sole F85 gets points for having a stronger motor here.
Sole F85 vs Nordictrack 1750 – Incline/Decline
The Sole F85 gives you up to 15 levels of incline to add some challenge to your workouts. It also comes with up to 6 levels of decline – so you can walk downhill as well, which is a nice touch.
The Nordictrack Commercial 1750 treadmill offers up to 12% incline and up to 3% decline.
So you get incline and decline with both.
Sole seems like they give you more in terms of incline and decline. However, it’s hard to really compare because Sole measures their incline/decline by “levels” and Nordictrack gives a percentage.
They both look very similar overall in terms of the highest level of incline/decline. So it’s hard to pick a clear winner here. But if I had to choose I’d give the edge to the Sole F85.
One thing that the Nordictrack 1750 has that you don’t get with the Sole F85 is that the incline/decline is responsive to the world trails that you run. This means that it will automatically incline or decline to match the actual terrain that you’re running (very virtual reality).
The Nordictrack can also incline or decline automatically in the streaming workout class that you’re taking as well. So the incline/decline on this treadmill can integrate to give you a more immersive training experience.
Other Differences You Should Know:
There are a few other key differences when it comes to the Nordictrack 1750 vs Sole F85 treadmills.
The Sole F85 treadmill comes wireless phone charging pad on the console (which the Nordictrack 1750 treadmill doesn’t have). While it doesn’t speak to the actualy quality of the treadmill itself, a lot of people do like this feature.
It also comes with a slightly wider belt than the Nordictrack – 22 inches vs 20 inches. So you have a bit more width to your walking area.
On the other hand the Nordictrack 1750 has a few things that the Sole F85 doesn’t have.
For example, it uses a Smart Response Drive system which basically helps the treadmill to respond faster in real time to any changes you make.
So it will also respond faster to any world trail incline/decline that you’re running – to give a more immersive, seamless feel.
It also comes with ActivePulse technology. This means it can monitor your pulse (you will need a wireless heart rate monitor for this) and then adjust the treadmill automatically to keep you in your target heart rate range.
And finally it comes with iFit technology – which is not found on Sole treadmills. Nordictrack has put a lot into developing iFit. You can run world famous trails with guides and watch the scenery pass you by in the console screen.
You can stream fitness classes to your treadmill – or even take live classes and follow your favorite trainer. You can map out your own trails using Googlemaps. Or just set a goal and track your workouts to see how far you’ve come.
Nordictrack is really trying to focus on enhancing the workout experience itself with iFit – and they’re always adding new workouts, new challenges and new world trails to run.
Bottom Line?

Both treadmills give you quality construction, extra long belts, strong motors and excellent cushioning. These are all things that runners especially will appreciate.
The Sole F85 is currently a bit more affordable. Plus you can can mirror your phone to the console screen or watch Youtube, Netflix from your console (however consider that people have reported problems with these features).
It also has some great features like the wireless charging pad, more incline/decline and a wider belt.
The Nordictrack 1750 treadmill doesn’t seem to be having the problems with the screen that are reported on the Sole F85. You can also swivel the screen to continue the workout off your treadmill.
