Nordictrack Re-introduces the C970 Treadmill – With Upgrades
Looking for a solid treadmill under $1000?

Nordictrack has recently re-introduced the C970 treadmill (full review here) for 2016. It’s a reintroduction because the Nordictrack 970 treadmill was quite popular a couple of years ago – people today are even still looking for it.
However they have made several new upgrades for 2016 including an adjustable tablet holder above the console and an extra accessories tray below the console.
You also get adjustable cushioning and a stronger motor than before.
While it doesn’t have some of the fancier bells and whistles of the mid-range treadmills, the C970 Pro is a decent little starter model with solid basics (strong motor, up to 15% incline and 12 MPH speed limit).
And with the new tablet holder (provided you have a tablet) and the iPod dock, there are some great entertainment options as well.
Of course, like all new Nordictrack treadmill models, it also comes iFit LIVE compatible – although you will definitely need your tablet (and an iFit LIVE subscription) in order to get full use from the iFit LiVE option.
Also, this treadmill does fold up – with a shock assisted folding mechanism. So it saves you the strain on your back. And it also comes with a hand sensor heart rate monitor to stay in your target fat-burning range.
