Nordictrack C700 Treadmill

Looking for a super-affordable Nordictrack treadmill?

The Nordictrack C700 treadmill is a starter model that Nordictrack has brought back for a short time.

They re-updated it this year with a new multi-color console (the older version had a dual-color console).

So you can connect with iFit and run world trails or take fitness classes from your treadmill.

Don’t want to watch iFit? There’s an integrated tablet holder so you can go online as you walk with your own tablet and stream your favorite shows.

Nordictrack C700 Treadmill Review – Benefits:

Add Some Fun with an HD, Full-Color Touch-Screen

Nordictrack updated the C700 model this year from the older, dual-color console to a new, 7-inch, HD color console.

You can connect with iFit and run trails all over the world, track your workout stats or even take a fitness class from home (more on iFit below).

Don’t want to connect with iFit?

No problem. There’s also an integrated tablet holder you can use that will hold your phone or tablet. So you can go online and stream your own favorite programs or Youtube videos as you walk.

20 Built-in Workouts

In addition to the iFit Coach option, you also get 20 buit-in workouts to help challenge yourself and add in some fun to your workouts.

Explore the World with iFit

iFit Coach is Nordictrack’s online streaming service and the C700 treadmill will integrate with iFit through the touch-screen.

With iFit you can choose from thousands of famous world trail workouts – from running to walking tours – from Florence to the streets of Paris.

An iFit Coach will lead you along the workout, pointing out interesting landmarks along the way.

Don’t want to explore the world?

Take a fitness class from the comfort of your own home.

There are thousands of streaming fitness classes to choose from – whether you’re a beginner up to advanced runner.

Plus, iFit also has started offering live classes. So you can follow your favorite trainer in real time now.

There’s a lot you can do with iFit to turn a standard treadmill into your own personal fitness studio.

Music Port With Speakers

You can plug in your phone or other device and listen to your favorite tunes through the built-in speakers. This is another option that can help make workouts a lot more fun.

Folding To Save Space

The Nordictrack C700 treadmill easily folds up to save space with the EasyLift Shock Assist to save the strain on your back.

Adjustable Cushioning

This is something you don’t often find on other treadmills at this price point.

You can customize the deck feel to your personal preference.

c700 treadmill cushioning

For a softer, more cushioned feel, you can turn the cushioning up. This gives you extra protection for your knees, hips and back.

Or for a more “road-like” firmer-surface feel, just turn the cushioning down.

EKG Hand Grip Heart Rate Monitor

This is a nice touch since Nordictrack is starting to remove the hand grip heart rate monitors on their higher end treadmills for some reason.

You can grasp the heart rate sensors in front of the console and get a heart rate reading. So it’s easy to stay in your target fat-burning zone.

Nordictrack C700 Treadmill Review – What You Need To Know:

Simple Console

The console on this unit is well laid out – but the screen is smaller than other Nordictrack treadmills at around 7 inches. Also, be aware that if you use your tablet on the integrated media shelf, it may cover up some of the main console window.

Limited Incline

Both the incline and speeds are limited on this treadmill. You only get up to 10% incline and up to 10 MPH speed. This may be fine for occasional walkers.

But if you’re looking to build your fitness level with higher inclines or speeds over time, this treadmill is not the best option.

If you want a higher incline, you might want to spend a bit more and go with something like the EXP7i treadmill which gives you up to 12% incline.

Bottom Line?

The Nordictrack C700 treadmill doesn’t have as many bells and whistles as the mid-grade treadmills. But the basics are decent (motor, cushioning, belt length etc.) and the price is excellent.

Plus, you have the option to use iFit through the console – or add in your own entertainment options with the tablet/phone shelf.

You can also rock out to your favorite tunes with the dock and built-in speakers – and stay cool with the multi-speed fan for extra comfort.

Basically, if you just want a simple, solid treadmill for a great price, the C700 is worth considering.

Where To Buy and Save:

As of this writing, there are 2 versions of this treadmill floating around. The older model (usually sold in stores with older stock) only gives you the dual-color screen – sometimes with or without a tablet holder.

If you want the full-color screen with the integrated tablet shelf, make sure to check that you’re getting the newer model with the full color screen like the one sold from the Manufacturer here.
