What’s Changed on the Popular Nordictrack Commercial 2450 Treadmill?
The Commercial 2450 treadmill is one of my favorite models – mainly because I like good value for the money.
And the 2450 is one of the best values in the Nordictrack lineup. It just gives you so much.
There’s the construction side: with the strong 4.0 HP motor and solid running deck with adjustable cushioning. It also has one of the largest running belts on the market (a full 22 x 60 inches).
Plus you can add in extra crosstraining with incline and decline.
Then there’s the entertainment options – a full color console (again something you don’t often see at this price point). And for 2016, Nordictrack has enlarged the console web browser from 7 inches up to 10 – which is a nice addition.
Another big change (that some people may like and others may not), is that they’ve removed the TV above the console and replaced it with an adjustable tablet holder.
I understand why they did this – since I usually don’t watch a lot of TV anymore, it’s mostly Netflix, youtube and movies on iTunes. A lot of people are moving this way. So I can see why the TV isn’t that popular anymore. This way you have more flexibility to watch what you want on your tablet.
Also the tablet is adjustable – so you can move it back to watch, without straining your neck.
To compensate for the TV removal Nordictrack added the extra console space and upgraded cushioning. Plus, compared to the 1750 model it gives you more workout programs and a stronger motor.
So that’s basically what’s changed on the new Nordictrack Commercial 2450 treadmill. You can read our full review of what you get and how it works by clicking here.
