Thinking about the Nordictrack Commercial X22i treadmill?

While you can read the full review here, sometimes it helps to see it in action in order to decide if it’s right for you.

Here’s a great, short video you can watch that shows you the key features of the X22i incline trainer treadmill.

You’ll also see how the iFit Coach world scenery looks on the console – as well as some of the iFit classes.

Another thing I like is that they also show you the decline option as well as the incline – and little things like the cushioning and belt length.

Common Questions About the Nordictrack Commercial X22i Treadmill:

How Does This Differ From A Treadmill?

The X22i is called a treadmill as well as an incline trainer – which can leave some people confused. It’s just different names for the same machine.

The Nordictrack X22i is still a treadmill – with a twist.

Instead of the 10-15% incline you usually get with a standard treadmill, you get up to 40% incline. This can take your training to a whole new level since high incline walking burns calories at an accelerated rate. So you can see faster results in the mirror.

It also means you have a lot more room to grow with this machine vs a standard treadmill.

You won’t top out at the 15% incline and have nowhere to go. So in that sense you get more out of this treadmill than a standard treadmill.

Another difference?

You get deeper decline – up to 6%.

Most standard treadmills do not give you any decline. There are some Nordictrack treadmills that do give you up to 3% decline. However only the incline trainer treadmills like the X22i have the deeper decline.

Bottom line?

The X22i is a treadmill with a twist – higher inclines and deeper declines. So you can get better crosstraining and faster results from one of these machines. Think of it like a treadmill on steroids.

How Does the Nordictrack X22i differ from the X11i?

The X11i is a simpler version of the incline trainer treadmill – with a much smaller touch-screen console than the X22i. The motor is also not as strong on the Nordictrack X22i model.

It does however still give you the high 40% incline and 6% decline.

How Does the X22i differ from the X32i?

The Nordictrack X32i is the premium, commercial-grade trainer that has an even larger console than the X22i trainer – 32 inches across versus 22 inches across.

The Nordictrack X32i also has a longer belt and more built-in workouts. However, it’s also around $1000 more.

Do I Need To Have iFit to Use the X22i?

No you do not. According to the manufacturer, you can use the treadmill – including incline, decline etc – in manual mode without iFit.

However if you get the Nordictrack X22i treadmill through the Manufacturer here, you can currently get a 1-year membership to iFit Coach included with the treadmill.

So you can try it out for the full year to see if you like it. Then, if you don’t want to renew it, you just go into your iFit account online and cancel the membership.

So you can get more done in less time with this treadmill.
