Wondering which is the best option for you?

While these are both popular treadmills – they’re still pretty different from one another.

The Nordictrack 1750 is in the Commercial lineup of treadmills. These machines are built tougher than Nordictrack’s starter models (like the Elite 1000) with larger rollers, tougher decks and stronger motors.

The company completely redesigned the 1750 treadmill this year to a more sleek, streamlined look with several upgrades over past models.

The Nordictrack Elite 1000 is an affordable model with some perks as well, like a full-color, touch-screen, iFit streaming and a long 60-inch belt.

So which is right for you?

This post will show you the 6 key differences between the Nordictrack Elite 1000 vs Commercial 1750 treadmill so you can find the best model for you.

Let’s dive in:

Nordictrack Elite 1000 vs Commercial 1750 –  Price

As of this writing, the Nordictrack Elite 1000 is the more affordable of the two treadmills. You can get it direct from the manufacturer for around $400 less than the Commercial 1750 treadmill.

The Nordictrack 1750 – being the premium model comes in a bit higher. But you can buy the new model direct from the Manufacturer with Free Shipping here.

So budget-wise, the Nordictrack Elite 1000 is better if you’re looking for the most affordable option.

Elite 1000 vs Commercial 1750 – Console

Here’s where you see one of the biggest differences between the Nordictrack Elite 1000 vs Commercial 1750 treadmill – both in console size and design.

Both treadmills come with full-color, HD, touch-screen consoles where you can connect with iFit and run trails all over the world or take new fitness classes from home.

However the Nordictrack Elite 1000 console is smaller at 10-inches across:

The Nordictrack 1750 treadmill screen is larger at 14-inches across:

The larger screen on the Commercial 1750 treadmill is more fun to watch and it’s easier to see your workout stats as well.

Also, you’ll note the difference in design.

The Elite 1000 comes with a flatter screen that’s integrated into the main console. The 1750 screen is raised above the console and more vertical – separate from the main console. So it can reduce the strain on your neck as it’s more at your eye level.

Another difference?

The Nordictrack 1750 screen tilts and swivels 180 degrees.

So you can turn it and continue your workout off the treadmill if you wish – which is handy for the iFit yoga, stretching and cool-down workouts.

Elite 1000 vs Nordictrack 1750: Motor

The Elite 1000 treadmill gives you a respectable 3.0 CHP motor, which is pretty good at this price point.

However the Nordictrack 1750 comes with a stronger 3.5 CHP motor power. So other things being equal, the 1750 can hold up better for runners, longer workouts and multiple-user families.

Nordictrack Elite 1000

Nordictrack Elite 1000 vs 1750: Incline/Decline

The Elite 1000 gives you from 0 to 12% incline. Again, not bad considering it’s a starter model.

The Nordictrack 1750 gives you more. You get up to 15% incline and even 3% decline. The decline is nice to have since it’s a great way to “rest” and walk downhill after an intense interval.

So overall you get more crosstraining options with higher incline and decline on the Nordictrack 1750 vs Elite 1000.

Stability and Space Differences

The Commercial 1750 construction is a bit more heavy-duty than the Elite 1000. You can also see this in the weight of the machine.

The Elite 1000 comes in at a machine weight of 223 pounds. The Nordictrack 1750 comes in heavier at 340 pounds. A heavier machine helps to anchor the treadmill for a more stable feel.

On the other hand, the Elite 1000 is just slightly smaller in terms of footprint than the 1750 treadmill. The footprint on the Elite 1000 is 78 x 35.2 inches.

The Nordictrack 1750 measures 80 by 38 inches. So while it’s not a huge difference, if space is at a premium for you, you may prefer the smaller footprint on the Elite 1000 treadmill.

Nordictrack Elite 1000 vs Commercial 1750: Storage

The Nordictrack 1000 does have an advantage over the 1750 treadmill: There’s a stability bar under the console to hold your extra keys, remote, phone etc.

Some people like having that extra storage space so it’s easy to grab things as they walk or run.

Bottom Line?

So which is better when comparing the Nordictrack Elite 1000 vs Commercial 1750 treadmill?

Both treadmills give you the ability to run trails all over the world or take live fitness classes from home with iFit.

The Elite 1000 is the more affordable model of the two – making it easier on the budget. Plus it has a smaller footprint, making it better for apartments, condos or smaller workout spaces.

The Nordictrack Commercial 1750 is a higher-end model with the larger screen and better design. It also gives you higher incline and decline that’s not found on the Elite 1000.

Plus it’s a tougher machine and will hold up better to long term wear and tear.

So it really comes down to what you need in a home treadmill and which you think is the better fit for you.
