So is the extra money worth it on the EXP14i treadmill? Here are some of the differences between the two treadmills to help you decide:
Nordictrack EXP14i vs EXP10i – Console
The console is where you see the biggest difference between these two treadmills.
They both give you multi-color, HD interactive consoles. However the EXP10i treadmill screen measures 10-inches across:
The Nordictrack EXP14i treadmill measures 14-inches across:
So you can see that the Nordictrack EXP14i console is easier to read and more enjoyable to use – especially with the iFit scenery and HD workout videos. It’s kind of like having a larger tv or laptop screen – for many people bigger is better.
Both screens tilt forward and back – so you can find the best viewing angle for you.
Both consoles also come with quick-touch speed/incline buttons for on-the-fly changes and dual-speed cooling fans.

Nordictrack EXP10i or EXP14i: Heart Rate Training
In addition to the larger console, the Nordictrack EXP14i treadmill also comes with another upgrade: ActivePulse Heart Rate Training.
Basically this is a program that actively monitors your heart rate and controls the treadmill speed and incline for you to keep you in your target heart rate range (you need to buy a separate Smartbeat forearm heart rate monitor to do this).
As of this writing, the EXP10i does not have this option (although it will work with a wireless heart rate monitor).
So which is better when comparing the Nordictrack EXP10i vs EXP14i treadmills?
Well, there’s not as much difference as you might think.
They’re both very close in price – with the EXP10i treadmill coming in slightly more affordable.
But you do get a larger, easier-to-read screen on the Nordictrack EXP14i – which many people will prefer.
You also get the upgraded heart rate training program on the EXP14i treadmill.
Besides this however, both treadmills have many of the same features like the 12% incline, 3% decline, 60-inch long belt, iFit training and adjustable cushioning.
So in this case, it really comes down to a slight price difference and the size of the screen.
