The inertia-enhanced flywheel gives you a smooth rowing motion.

Nordictrack RW200 Rower Review – The Benefits:

Designed for Comfort

There are several features on this unit, designed to give you a more comfortable, smooth-feeling rowing motion.

The molded seat and pivoting footpedals offer a super-flexible motion. And the Softtouch, ergonomic handles help reduce hand and wrist fatigue throughout longer workouts.

The inertia-enhanced flywheel and the silent magnetic resistance also help to give you a more smooth, quiet workout.

Nordictrack RW200 Console

Backlit Console

While the console on this rower is quite small – it is backlit and easy to read.

It’s also adjustable so you can move it to the viewing angle that best suits you.

Plus there’s also an auxiliary music port – something you don’t usually find in rowers at this price point.

So you can plug in your phone or other device and play your favorite workout music through the two digitally amplified built-in console speakers.

Folds Up To Save Space

This is a very cool feature as well that can help you save the space in your home. The RW200 easily folds up with wheels on the bottom so you can move it out of the way when you’re done.

However note that this rower is still pretty heavy – so you may not want to wheel it around every day.

iFit Compatible

This rower works with iFit Coach. iFit is service that takes your rower online using the Wifi in your home. From there you can track your workouts over time, set new fitness goals and see how far you’ve come.

It’s a great way to get motivated to reach new goals – or just see how much you’ve accomplished over time.

You can also connect with your tablet or phone and take streaming fitness rowing classes – which is ultra cool.

Note however that you will need your own phone or tablet to connect with iFit Coach. (You can’t connect through the console – as you do with the RW500 or RW900 rowing machine models.)

The best part?

While iFit Coach is usually a subscription-based service, if you get the Nordictrack 200 rower through the Manufacturer here, you’ll get a 1 year-membership to iFit Coach included with your machine.

So you can try it for a full year and see if you like it – which is an amazing deal.

20 Built-In Workouts

Not sure you want to use iFit? No problem.

You also get 20 built-in workouts with this rower, designed to challenge you and help you burn more calories and increase your strength.

Nordictrack RW200 Review – Any Drawbacks?

Basic Console

As stated above, most of the money here went into construction and ergonomics. The console is quite small and basic, compared to the other Nordictrack rower models.

Also, if you want to use iFit Coach, you will need your own tablet or phone to connect.

Heavy Machine

While the RW200 rower is quite easy to take out of the box and set up, it’s also quite heavy. This is great for stability – but not necessarily for moving it around.

Bottom Line?

If you’re looking for a well-made, ergonomically-designed rower from a good name, you’ll love the Nordictrack RW200.

It really shines in the area of strong construction, stable feel and ergonomic layout.

While it does fall down a bit in terms of console and entertainment options, the tradeoff is that it’s also super-affordable. And if you don’t care about having a lot of fancy, bells and whistles, then this probably doesn’t matter to you.

Bottom Line? A strong, stable machine built to last – covered by an excellent warranty on your investment.
