There are also 1-touch resistance buttons on the bottom of the console for quick, on-the-fly changes. And you can easily adjust the console for the best viewing angle as you row.
You also get an auxiliary music port with two 2-inch digitally amplified speakers. So you can plug in your phone or other device and play your workout music through the built-in console speakers.
Explore Famous Waterways All Over the World
This rower works together with iFit Coach, Nordictrack’s online streaming service.
iFit connects your rowing machine to the Internet using the Wifi in your home. From there you can track your workouts over time, set new fitness goals and see how far you’ve come.
One of the best things about iFit?
You can row famous waterways all over the world and enjoy the scenery passing you by in the screen as you row. This gives you a more enjoyable, immersive rowing experience. It’s the next best thing to being there!

Need more of a challenge?
Choose from hundreds of online studio fitness rowing classes. The instructor will lead you through the class motivating and coaching you along the way.
And more good news:
While iFit Coach is usually a subscription-based service, if you get the Nordictrack 600 rower through the Manufacturer here you’ll get a Full membership to iFit Coach included with your machine for a limited time.
So you can try it first to see if you like it. (You don’t need iFit to use this rowing machine – it works fine without it. iFit is just an add-on option if you want it).

Two Types of Resistance
You get up to 26 levels of silent magnetic resistance that you can control from your console.
You can also add even more intensity with the air resistance option as well. You can move this manually to fine-tune the resistance you get. So there’s a lot of room to grow and challenge yourself with this machine.
Folds Up To Save Space
The Nordictrack RW600 rower easily folds up with wheels on the bottom for easier movement.
So you can fold it up and move it out of the way when you’re done. This is handy if you have a smaller workout area or live in a condo or apartment.
Bluetooth Connectivity
With the new Bluetooth Headphone Connectivity, you can sync your favorite headphones to the RW600 rower and listen to your iFit trainer or your music completely undistracted. This is great for homes with little ones who take naps during the day – or if you just want a more private training session.
Designed for Comfort
The RW600 is designed to give a more ergonomic, comfort-added training session.
The molded seat and pivoting footpedals offer a super-flexible motion. The quick-release adjustable footstraps make it easy to get on and off the machine.
Nordictrack RW 600 Rower – Any Drawbacks?
Smaller Console
While the console is impressive when compared to other rowing machines at this price point, it’s the smallest console that Nordictrack currently puts on their rowing machines (10 inches vs 14 inches or 22 inches).
If you want a larger console for an even more immersive experience, check out the RW700 or RW900 rowing machines.
iFit Coach
While you can try the full iFit membership out for a limited time, iFit is a subscription based service and eventually you’ll want to decide whether to renew your subscription or not.
You don’t need iFit to use this machine – it works fine without it (and you can always use the free iFit version with a few free programs included). But it’s something to keep in mind.

Bottom Line?
The RW600 rowing machine is a stable, well-built rower with some perks you usually only find on higher end machines. It gives you a nice balance of affordability with next-level training with streaming workouts.
You can use it to set new rowing goals, see how far you’ve come or just explore the world and row different waterways.
You can also challenge yourself with studio rowing fitness classes from the comfort of your own home.
This, along with the 2 different forms of resistance – gives you a lot of room to grow over time.
It’s not the fanciest Nordictrack rower out there, but it does pack a lot of value into a smaller price tag.
