They also both fold up for easy storage and come with adjustable cushioning on the deck – so you can choose the deck firmness that suits you best.

However there are some pretty important differences between the Nordictrack T6.5 vs T7.5 treadmills that you should know.

Let’s take a look at them to give a better perspective on these two treadmills:

Nordictrack T6.5 vs T7.5 – Price

As of this writing, the Nordictrack T6.5 treadmill is the more affordable model of the two, coming in around $200 less with Free Shipping here. That makes it more attractive from a budget standpoint.

The Nordictrack T7.5 is the next model up with a few more perks. You can get it direct from the Manufacturer with Free Shipping here.

Nordictrack 6.5 vs 7.5 – Belt Length

The Nordictrack 6.5 treadmill comes with a 20 x 55 inch belt. This is pretty standard for a starter treadmill.

The Nordictrack 7.5 treadmill goes one better with a longer 20 x 60 inch belt. So you get more room to stretch out and move without feeling like you’re bumping up against the edge of your treadmill.

Nordictrack T6.5 vs T7.5 – Incline

You get up to 10% incline with the T6.5 treadmill – which again, is fairly standard at this price point.

However the T7.5 model outshines it with up to 12% incline. So you get a bit more room to grow with the Nordictrack T7.5 treadmill.

Motor Power Differences

The motor is the heart of your treadmill. If you plan on using your treadmill more frequently – or more intensely – you’ll want to get as high a motor power as you can get.

If you don’t plan on working out too intensely (for example, gentle walking occasionally), you don’t need to go as high with your motor power.

The Nordictrack T6.5 treadmill comes with a respectable 2.6 HP motor. The Nordictrack T7.5 treadmill steps up to a 3.0 HP motor. So it can handle a bit more use and abuse than the Nordictrack T6.5 model.

Nordictrack 6.5 vs 7.5 S Treadmill – Speed

You also get a higher speed limit on the Nordictrack 7.5 treadmill – from 0 – 12 MPH. The Nordictrack 6.5 treadmill gives you from 0 – 10 MPH.

This is really not a huge difference however. It probably wouldn’t affect you too much – unless you were a runner planning to do very fast sprints. If you’re a walker, the speed difference here isn’t overly important.

Extra Storage Options

The Nordictrack T7.5 also comes with an added stability bar under the console along which houses an added accessories tray. This is a handy way to store your remote, keys, phone etc while working out.

This feature doesn’t come on the Nordictrack T6.5 model.

Where the Nordictrack T6.5 OutShines the T7.5

The Nordictrack T6.5 treadmill actually does outshine the T7.5 model in one area (besides price) – the size of the console.

The T6.5 model console is larger at 10 inches across seen below:

The T7.5 model comes in at a slightly smaller 7 inches – seen below:

This may seem a bit strange to have a larger screen on the lower-priced model.

But basically the money in the Nordictrack T7.5 model went more into construction (motor, higher incline, longer belt, etc.) and the money in the T6.5 model went more into entertainment.

Bottom Line?

So which is better in the Nordictrack T6.5 vs T7.5 debate?

Well, the Nordictrack T6.5 treadmill does come in at a more attractive price point – and it does have a larger console screen.

However it really only gives you the basics as far as construction, incline, speed etc.

The Nordictrack T7.5 gives you more room to stretch out with the longer belt, more room to grow with a higher incline and and an overall stronger treadmill with the better motor.

It really comes down to what you’re looking for, how you’re planning to use your treadmill and which features are most important to you.
