Nordictrack Treadmill Desk Reviews
Nordictrack Treadmill Desk Options Compared

Looking for the Nordictrack treadmill desk?
The desk treadmill is a great way to work while you walk. And unlike other treadmill desks, Nordictrack models give you higher speed limits, stronger motors and even incline.
So you get more for the money.
Plus Nordictrack models also have an attractive wood-panelled look that makes them attractive and ideal for high end home offices.
So what options do you have?
Here’s a brief review of each of the Nordictrack Treadmill desk models with the pros and cons of each to help you decide:
#1 Nordictrack Treadmill Desk
This is the main model and the one that started it all. You get an oversized 40-inch by 18-inch desktop surface to work on.

The 1 inch thick desk surface has a sophisticated mahogany wood grain laminate which adds a more aesthetically pleasing look to this treadmill desk than other models on the market.
You get a speed limit of 6 MPH – which isn’t as high as a regular treadmill, but much higher than most walking work stations. Also the 2.6 HP motor is higher than most treadmill desks as well.
There’s also a vertical adjustment to the desk portion so you can move it to the best position for your height.
This is also handy if you’re going to be sitting down after your workout as you can adjust the desk down as well.
You also get a feedback window to the side of your desktop showing your time, distance, calories, calories per hour, and speed. So you can keep an eye on this as you work. Plus you can adjust your speed from this area as well.
Want to take a break and get away from it all? This model also comes iFit LIVE compatible. So you can connect to iFit your laptop and watch in the console as you walk real life trails from Hawaii to the streets of Paris.
Another benefit to this model is the ReflexDeck Cushioning. This special type of cushioning “reflexes” back as you step down, propelling your forward and returning energy to your stride.
It’s similar to the material they use in professional snowboards. The advantage to this is that it can be easier on the joints than a traditional treadmill cushioning system – and give you less fatigue post workout.
So there’s a lot you can do on the Nordictrack treadmill desk that you can’t do on other desk treadmills. However there is one main drawback.
The main drawback to this treadmill desk is that there is no incline. You definitely don’t need incline if you’ll only be using this as a walking workstation.
But if you also want to use the treadmill as a place to workout as well (when you’re not working), you may want to move up to the Platinum model which does have incline.

#2 Nordictrack Treadmill Desk Platinum
This is the upgraded treadmill desk model with the same attractive mahogany wood-grain laminate surface as the other model. The desk portion is the same size as the regular model – and you also get the Reflex Deck Cushioning and iFit LIVE options.

However it does come with quite a few upgrades over the standard treadmill desk.
For example you get a higher speed limit of 8 mph vs 6 mph. It also has a stronger 3.0 HP motor so it can handle a bit more use and abuse.
It also has the 0 – 10% incline that you don’t get on the regular Nordictrack desk treadmill. So you can build in a few high intensity intervals if you choose.
A lot of people really like the addition of the incline to their workouts, as it gives you more ways to challenge yourself and change up your walking workouts.
And the desktop is also vertically adjustable. The chrome uprights easily adjust between 26 and 42 inches to accommodate multiple user heights for sitting, standing, walking, or running.
The Platinum model also comes with a longer 60 inch belt than the regular treadmill desk which is only 55 inches. So you have a bit more room to move and stretch out – great for taller users.
The main drawbacks to this model are really the drawbacks you get with any treadmill desk – you lose a bit on the console features and you don’t get as high a speed limit or incline as a regular treadmill as well.
If you’re looking for a treadmill desk that has incline, a stronger motor and a longer belt, then the Platinum desk is your best option.
