Nordictrack Updates the Nordictrack 2450 for 2019 – See What’s New!

Thinking about the Nordictrack 2450 treadmill?

Your timing couldn’t be better.

Nordictrack has just come out with their new 2019 Commercial 2450 model – and it has some pretty cool upgrades over the older model.

The best part?

A larger screen console!

They’ve actually increased the console display from 10 inches up to 14 inches:

So it’s easier to see your workout stats as you run.

It’s also a lot more fun to watch the iFit Coach world scenery or workout classes as you workout.

Just to give you some context, here’s a pic of the 2018 Nordictrack 2450 console:

As you can see, that’s a big improvement – and it can make your workout time a lot more enjoyable.

It makes the iFit coaching workouts a lot more fun to watch. And while running different iFit world trails, having a larger screen always makes it more fun.

You still get the one-touch speed and incline/decline buttons up and down the sides of the consoles as well as the console speakers and dual-speed fan.

iFit Coach

Depending on when you were looking at the older Commercial 2450 treadmill in 2018, you may or may not have also gotten the Free 1 year membership to iFit Coach.  Nordictrack started offering it on the old model in later 2018 – but it wasn’t offered in early 2018.

However now, you can get the 1 year membership to iFit Coach included with the 2019 model when you buy direct through the Manufacturer here.

With iFit you can track your workouts over time, set new goals and even get personalized workouts based on your fitness goals.

You can also stream high-energy fitness classes to your treadmill console or run trails all over the world – from the streets of Paris to the shores of Hawaii for some virtual-reality fun.

More Built-in Workouts

Nordictrack has also added more built-in workouts for extra challenge – up to 50 (vs 38 on the older model). If you don’t want to use iFit, these are a great way to add some challenge to your workouts.

The Only Downside?

One thing people may not like on the new model is that they’ve removed the tablet holder above the console.

I’m not sure why. However not to worry, there’s an easy workaround.

If you really want a tablet holder – just Google “Treadmill Tablet Holder” and you’ll find a lot of great options. I found several treadmill tablet holders ranging from $17 up to $80, depending on how fancy you want them.

Some of these will attach to your treadmill console – whereas others are full stands that you can use to hold your tablet. The great part about this is that you can then use the tablet holder anywhere in your home (not just on the treadmill).

So those are some of the new changes on the 2019 Nordictrack Commercial 2450 treadmill. And they’re pretty great – especially the larger console screen.

Considering that Nordictrack has managed to make the screen bigger – but keep the price the same is impressive (as of this writing, they’ve actually dropped the price here – but that will probably change in the future).
