Looking for the best incline trainer treadmill for your home in 2022?
The good news is that you can now get the brand new 2022 Nordictrack X22i treadmill model.
Nordictrack has just released their new 2022 X22i Incline Trainer with some very cool new upgrades to give you a more immersive, health-club style experience.
Nordictrack has completely redesigned the X22i with a new streamlined, health-club style look, improved sound system, lower step-on-height and heart rate tracking for a more effective workout.
Is it right for you? Here’s an overview of the upgrades on the new X22i incline treadmill model:
Nordictrack has separated the screen from the console and made it look more like a health-club unit.
The new design places the screen more upright – similar to the TV-style treadmills you see at the gym.
So it’s not only more ergonomically friendly , it’s also easier to view (since you’re not looking down at it throughout your whole workout – you’re looking forward).
The new screen also tilts and swivels 180 degrees so you can find the best viewing angle for you. You can also turn the screen and keep watching your workout if you want to get off the treadmill to stretch, do yoga etc.
They’ve kept the screen size on this unit the same – a whopping 22 inches. This is pretty impressive to see on a treadmill. It makes it easy to read your workout stats – and a lot more fun to watch the iFit scenery as you run.
Lower Step-On Height
The treadmill belt is lower to the floor on this unit, giving you a lower step-on height. A lot of people like this as it does two things.
First, it makes getting on and off the treadmill easier and safer. This is especially true if you’re used to jumping on and off the treadmill to do interval training, for example.
The lower step-on height also makes it great for homes with lower ceiling heights.
Improved Sound System
The X22i also gets an upgraded sound system this year. You get premium 30 Watt directional audio speakers.
What’s directional audio? Good question.
Directional audio means the audio is more focused towards the treadmill user and not as much to others in the room or home.
It doesn’t mean that if you’re using the treadmill then others won’t hear the treadmill audio (unless you’re using headphones).
However if you’re on the treadmill, you’ll hear clearer, more focused sound – and they’ll hear less of it than they’d hear with a standard treadmill sound system. It’s kind of like next-generation audio.
Sleek New Design
Nordictrack also reworked the design of this treadmill to look more like a gym-style treadmill with a sleek new minimalist design.
They’ve added a front stability bar and reinforced the base for a more stable look and feel.
They’ve also reduced the clutter on the console and made the control panel more intuitive.
By reducing all the clutter on the console while keeping what you need, it’s easy to get on this treadmill and just go. You don’t have to read a manual to figure out which button does what.
It’s simple and clean. And you still get the essentials like the dual-speed fan, emergency stop button, stability bar and incline/speed controls.
ActivePulse Heart Rate Program
The 2022 Nordictrack X22i treadmill also gives you Active Pulse technology. This is an option you can use that automatically controls the treadmill speed or incline to maintain your optimal heart-rate zone.
You don’t need to monitor anything or change your speed or incline. The treadmill controls the workout for you with both the speed and incline in order to keep you in your target heart rate zone.
