Nordictrack X22i vs X32i Incline Trainer – Which is Best For You? (Updated 2022)
Trying to decide between the Nordictrack X22i vs X32i incline trainer?
Wondering which is best for you?

The Nordictrack X22i incline trainer has been out – and garnering rave reviews – for about 4 years now. The first year it was so popular, they couldn’t keep it in stock over the holidays.
The Nordictrack X32i incline trainer is a brand new release for last year – with a few more perks.
Overall, they’re both commercial-grade, premium incline trainers that give you much more than a standard treadmill. With inclines of up to 40% you can burn up to 5 times more calories than on a regular treadmill. And with 6% decline you get added crosstraining options.

Plus they both come iFit Coach compatible. So you can immerse yourself in famous world trails – hike the Swiss Alps, run along the beaches of Hawaii or explore the Great Wall of China.
You can also take a high-energy, studio fitness class right from your treadmill console – everything from HIIT training to Bootcamps to Yoga workouts.
So which is best for you?
While they look very similar, there are a few key differences you might want to know. Here’s a comparison of the Nordictrack X22i vs X32i to help you decide:
Nordictrack X22i vs X32i – Price
The Nordictrack X22i trainer is the more affordable model coming in around $2999 here.
The X32i is the next model up with a few more perks. It comes in around $3999 with Special iFit Offer here. It’s really the ultimate commercial incline trainer in the entire series. So is it worth the extra money?
Nordictrack X22i vs X32i: Console
The console is where you see the biggest difference between these two machines. The Nordictrack X22i comes with one of the largest consoles that Nordictrack makes – a full 22 inches across which you can see below:

This was actually the largest console that Nordictrack used to make – until the Nordictrack X32i came out.
The X32i model steps it up to a larger 32 inch Smart HD Touchscreen console.
While the X22i console is big, the X32i console is massive as you can see below:

The larger screen size can give you a more immersive workout experience. I had one user tell me that it was like they were actually running through the streets of Paris – they didn’t want to get off the treadmill.
The larger screen can also give you (or someone in your home) that little extra motivation they might need to use the treadmill every day as well.
Here’s another pic to give you an idea of the difference in screen sizes between the Nordictrack X22i vs X32i:
Both consoles screens will also tilt up or back so you can find the right viewing angle for you. They also give you side auxiliary music ports with speakers, easy one-touch speed and incline buttons as well as built-in console cooling fans for extra comfort.

Nordictrack X22i vs X32i – Belt Size
The Nordictrack X22i incline trainer comes with a long 60 inch belt – which is longer than the standard 52-55 inch belts you get with a lot of treadmills these days.
So you have more room to stretch out and run without feeling like you’re bumping up against the edge of the treadbelt.
However, the Nordictrack X32i trainer goes one better with an even longer 65 inch belt. This is the longest belt that Nordictrack makes and gives you even more room to stretch out.

Nordictrack X22i or X32i: Motor
Both treadmills come with very strong commercial-grade motors to support you in longer or more intense workouts. The Nordictrack X22i treadmill gives you a 4.0 HP motor.
However the Nordictrack X32i steps it up to a stronger 4.25 HP motor. So it can handle a bit more use and abuse.
Treadmill Weight Differences
While both treadmills are quite heavy (which helps them feel extra stable), there’s a difference in machine weight that you’ll want to consider.
The X22i comes in at a heavy 417 pounds. The X32i comes in even higher at 462 pounds. The heavier weight can help contribute to a more stable feeling treadmill.
However, it’s also something to consider if you plan on moving your treadmill around in the future (although both treadmills are so heavy, you probably don’t want to plan on moving them around often).

Bottom Line?
So what’s the bottom line when comparing the Nordictrack X22i vs X32i incline trainers?
Well, they both give you the same amount of incline and decline as well as the same reinforced steel frame for added stability and iFit Coach to run trails all over the world.
The Nordictrack X32i has a longer belt as well as a slightly stronger motor than the X22i trainer. However the X22i is more affordable.
The main difference is really seen in the size of the console – 22 inches vs 32 inches.
Do you really need the larger screen?
This is really more of a luxury choice than an absolute must-have on your treadmill. It’s kind of like how everyone wants the biggest TV screen they can get – bigger screens are just more fun to watch.
At the end of the day though, both screen sizes – and both machines – are pretty impressive. Either one will give you an amazing workout.
It really comes down to your preferences, budget and goals.
