Proform 5000 vs Nordictrack 1750 Video Comparison
Trying to decide between the Proform 5000 Treadmill:

And the Nordictrack 1750 treadmill?

These are both popular, runner-friendly treadmills that are very similar to each other – and each come in under $1500. So which one is the better fit for you?
Here’s a video comparing the two treadmills to help you decide. Note: Keep scrolling down after the video for more visual comparisons.
And if you want more time to compare the layout of the two consoles (it’s not easy to do this with a video) here’s the Proform 5000 Console:
And here’s the Nordictrack 1750 console:

As you can see they have the same size console window (7 inches) and both have the full color touch-screen web browser as well as the tablet holder above the console.
There’s a slight difference in layout – for example the one touch buttons are placed vertically up and down the sides on the Nordictrack whereas on the Proform they are horizontally down near the bottom of the console.
I think the safety stop button is a bit more prominent on the Nordictrack 1750. And as the video pointed out, you have a 3rd fan (there are two in the console) on the bar below with the 1750. The Proform Pro 5000 doesn’t have the extra cooling fan.
So which is best? Personally I prefer the Nordictrack 1750 just because I like the adjustable cushioning option and the extra fan.
But I can also see the attraction of the Proform 5000 with the extra storage space in the bar below the console and the slightly tougher motor. So it depends on what you really want in a home treadmill.
